Bring Unboxed™ to Your Community

Unboxed™ events are opportunities for your organization to inspire and develop the skills of the next generation of workforce.

Developing the Future Workforce

The next generation of workforce needs not only to be technologically savvy, but must have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to apply STEM concepts to real-world scenarios, working as part of a team to solve problems. Unboxed™ provides a unique opportunity, blending STEM concepts and opportunities for critical thinking, communication, and creativity in a challenging and engaging way.

"I thought it was super fun and fun to find out clues and I found out I am smarter than I thought I was." - Student

What Does it Look Like to Sponsor an Event?

Event sponsors will work with the Center for Educational Outreach at Michigan Tech to identify schools or community organizations you would like to participate in this experience.  Unboxed™ themes are aligned with Grades 7-12 curriculum and are best suited for groups of up to 80 per session

Sponsors will be recognized through event promotional materials and can supply additional promotional items to participants. During each session, there is also an opportunity for a keynote speaker to promote and inform students of your organization. Events can be co-moderated by Michigan Tech students and your organization's volunteers.

Following school sessions, we can provide an event summary with data collected from participants post-surveys.

"All students were actively engaged with the challenge.  They understand the need to work together and rely on the strengths of others and themselves to reach the goal." - Teacher, Heritage High School
